My county finally opened up to everyone over 16 and we booked appointments last night for tonight. I’m so excited. It’s J&J.

Hope you feel better soon, Kate.

    Congratulations!

I’ve been in bed all day. It’s not THAT bad, but I can’t fathom getting up and doing anything. So tired.

Update —- Day 2: Nothing. No fever or other symptoms. Just a lingering mildly sore left arm. Very mild. Kinda feels like I worked out slightly too hard or something. It’s been exactly 24 hours.

    So far, so good.

I am officially vaccinated. I’m thrilled! I had to wait in a line for 90 minutes to get my shot but I didn’t care. Science is awesome.

It feels so good to get vaccinated!

That said, the fuck, I still have a temperature. I slept well and feel better today, but come on.

I’m so happy reading about the vaccinations! My mom got her first shot of Pfizer on Friday. Dad is in a couple days. My fiance can book his this week because he is immunocompromised.

I hope you feel better soon Kate.

I have some arm soreness, fatigue and body aches but pretty mild. My husband got his this morning. I cried at the overwhelming relief.

I can’t wait until we have a safe vaccine for kids.

Anonymousse, I felt similarly. Like all the stress of the last year left my body as soon as I was pricked. Relief.

Well, I rose from the dead and did 2 hours of work, a change of sheets, a blowout, and a manicure.

For anyone on the fence about the Dyson Airwrap: it does beach waves. You can get your roots semi-dry and smoothed out quickly with the paddle brush attachment (if your hair isn’t naturally straight, that is), then wrap your hair around the curling barrels from the top and hold onto the ends, and it gives you beautiful casual waves. People message me on Teams during Zoom meetings to tell me my hair looks fantastic. Someone else has the Airwrap too, and her hair always looks great.

Day 3: Still no side effects or troubling symptoms. Only last night I suddenly got VERY tired — VERY early. Think 7 pm. That’s pretty much unheard of for me. So I zonked out for a several hours while watching a movie. I then awoke fresh and feeling pretty good. Wrote a few hours and then finally went to bed just past 2 a.m.

    Second shot achieved!
I was a bit tired the day after but fine enough to go to my great aunt’s house and get 2 out of 3 TVs working after a storm knocked out the cable and required resets. I then set her up to watch Coming 2 America and went back home to bed where I slept most of the afternoon. By bed time I felt fine.

The bruise around the injection site is almost a perfect triangle. I may snap it and send it to the conspiracy positive folks.
