OMG Helen! That is horrible, I hope you and your family can still maintain your social distancing and isolating. Now I understand what my friend who lives in Atlanta meant in his post last night. Stay safe and I just pray that no more states do this.

There are several southern states opening up and/or relaxing the rules. South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.

@ktfran, Good God! I really want to have things open up bad but I can’t believe this. I just hope other states don’t follow suit.

@Helen – I’m not much of a conspiracy theorist but part of me believes that Kemp is doing this because it will result in a lot of Black people dying. He’s a racist pos and this will force a lot of people back to work and people will die.

Hair salons and bowling alleys are opening up. Bowling alleys. Bowling. Alleys. One hair salon owner said she’s not opening up again – she can’t stay 6 feet from her clients and she can’t protect herself or her clients enough to feel safe.

Stay safe and stay home. Although you are feeling better you could still be shedding the virus and be contagious. We don’t know enough about this to be sure until you get tested (and we all get tested).

Fuck Kemp, fuck De Santis, fuck em all.

Yeah, we’ll be staying the fuck home. Even though we likely have some immunity, but who knows how fast this virus mutates. He didn’t even open everything up, but specifically tattoo parlors, hair & nail salons, bowling alleys, that’s when we turned him off in disgust. He even said that cases are currently on the rise, but the economy is soooooo important. No he just doesn’t want so many people on unemployment. Nobody working at a salon or bowling alley is going to be in the position to say no to returning to work when their unemployment is yanked. The rich will stay home while we sacrifice the working poor

LisforLeslie I agree. He did some awful things to the black community to suppress their vote and steal the election from stacy Abrams. He is clearly targeting the working poor. Unbelievable! I hope history eviscerates him for this

I’m still running random fevers so I’m sure I’m still contagious even though I feel well enough to go bowling or dine out. A tiny, very mean, part of me wants trump to come hold a rally I could attend, but I know they would just give it to some poor waitress who’d much rather be home collecting unemployment

Just popping in for a minute to see if anyone’s heard from Allornone. She mentioned that she was really going through a rough patch and then she went silent……

Also, BGM are you posting your desert pics anywhere else? I don’t have instagram/twitter and wasn’t able to find them. I could really use a little beauty right now 🙂

Cases on the rise and we just started testing! Its almost like they’re trying to keep people from knowing how extent it is. I’m preparing for either my husband or myself to lose a parent

In MA they just announced schools are closed thru end of year and daycares through end of June, so I don’t see us opening anything until July at the earliest.

Idiots were protesting by the bridge to Cape Cod about wanting to open up the Cape. Great, guys, let’s just kill all the retirees living down there, including my parents who’ve been down there since mid-March. It won’t happen, though, which is both reassuring and really depressing.

Part-time Lurker: There are a few on Facebook. (Mark Ilvedson) You can find me there. But really, the cacti shots mainly up on the park_place_oasis Instagram, as I try to post an update there daily. In fact, the crazy giant pink flowers that sprang out of this teeny tiny cactus are the most impressive ones yet. Just bizarrely huge for a teeny, tiny plant. These pics did post to both accounts.

HELEN: I really think your governor is just plain clueless. I suppose he could be trying to wipe out black voters, but I really think he just stupidly believes the Trump b.s. about this virus not being that big a deal. But yeah, definitely stay indoors.

    Stay safe everybody.

    Desert Update:

I actually am pretty sure we have TWO desert iguanas roaming this property this year. See, Whenever they go back underground, they seal up their burrow behind them with sand. Yesterday I noticed the one off the patio was all closed up. Moments later, clear across the yard, I spied another desert iguana lounging in the sun. This one looked bigger —- and was way much more spooked by my approach. Pretty cool.

Not so cool? CRAZY WIND TODAY. No furniture will be painted, dammit!
