Total change of topic, but what do you all think about the Lizzo allegations? Three women (former employees) are suing her for sexual harassment, body-shaming, and various work-culture issues, and three other women – a former creative director, a former backup dancer (I think) and a documentarian who walked away from filming a Lizzo doc after just two weeks – corroborate. Lizzo finally posted a statement on her IG and that I thought was kind of underwhelming, but that doesn’t mean she’s guilty. I’m a fan of hers, but not like a rabid fan or anything. I have followed and unfollowed her on IG a few times, and when I unfollow her it’s bc I get turned off by the overt sexuality, but that’s just me and my comfort level. I don’t judge her or anything. But if she behaves as an employer the same was she does as a performer, I could see how the lines are very blurry.
Anyway, it’s a bummer.

Drew and I and Joanie saw Barbie today. Drew loved, I liked it a lot, and I think it was mostly over Joanie’s head – she seemed a little bored as I had warned her she might be – but she wasn’t unhappy or anything. I thought Greta Gerwig totally nailed it.
It’s unbearably hot.
Drew and I are taking Joanie while Jackson is at sleep away camp for two weeks (he leaves Sunday, and this will be his first time away for more than two nights, I’m fine, everything is fine). I told Drew I was going to see if some friends wanted to go with me and he was a little bummed out and then Joanie said she wanted to go and I know Jackson doesn’t, so it seemed like a good idea for the three of us to go while he’s gone. I warned Joanie that it isn’t really a kids movie, even though it’s about barbie, and she might get bored, but I think the novelty of having her parents all to herself will soften that blow.
Thanks, KT – I’m glad you’re liking the new site layout. I have a list of tweaks I still want to make but need to discuss with the developer and we’ve both been on vacation this week. I e been visiting my parents in missouri and today is their 50th anniversary. We’re celebrating with a small party this evening and then drew and the kids and I head back to Brooklyn tomorrow.

I’m reading a book right now about cPTSD called “what my bones know” by Stephanie foo. I recommend it if you haven’t read it yet, anon.
Also count me as a plus one for sleep edibles. They’ve made such a difference for me.
Ok, good – glad everyone’s able to post who wants to. I have a meeting with the developer tomorrow, so I’ll ask about login issues.
Bear with me as I navigate the learning curve of this new (to me) website platform. I still have yet yo figure out how to make the homepage look how I want it. But I’ll get there eventually. Priority is always making sure we all can connect with each other, and that seems to be working (and I was not sure at all that it would right away), so that’s good.

Thanks, you guys. It’s a work in progress! Basically, I had a new frame built and now I have to build out and continue designing. Expect many tweaks and changes in coming weeks as I learn how to use this new website theme. Thank you so much for your patience and support! This tech stuff is way out of my wheel house and the learning curve is always steeper than I’d like. But I’ll get there, and get the site how I want it to look and feel eventually.
