Yeah, you should break up. You super resent him at this point, you’re looking for proof that he loves you and is committed, you have a timeline that he doesn’t share, and honestly, if he wanted to propose to you, you’d be engaged already. You don’t trust him when he says, “very soon, it’s a surprise.” You think it’s possible he’d never do it. Move on, because you have zero faith in him and also because it just sounds like you want this “reward” from him, not like you see each other as life partners.
Yeah I felt the same way. I know what my level of attractiveness is in the world, I assume if he’s messaging me he thinks my photos are cute, but I don’t need a comment on the attractiveness of my photos. Just a “Hi, I’m Bob, I notice you like Mexican food, ever been to Felipe’s?” is just fine.
I think that texting sounds awkward and kinda weird, Copa, but I probably wouldn’t cancel just based on that. I feel like it’s best to wait to have this kind of chitchat in person so you can get a real vibe from them and see if there’s actually any attraction.
Oh, he also used the old classic, “I’m going to drive my motorcycle off the road.” And I was like, “well, that would be unfortunate, I don’t want you to do that, but I also don’t want to see you anymore.” He didn’t kill himself.
Well obviously he was full of shit, but I think he was trying to claim he went to the police department in NH where he was an “auxiliary cop” and told them, like, “my girlfriend broke up with me and I want you to like know that I won’t go any closer to her than the cellular kiosk is to the Claire’s, so if anything happens to her you will know it couldn’t have been me, and can you sign this statement so it’s official and shit.” I’m pretty sure he also told me he gave them his gun for safekeeping.
He was also seeing the girl at the fake hair kiosk, as well as I think one of the security guards AND his ex who had the same name as his sister but spelled unusually, and he tried to tell me that an alphanumeric page from his ex was actually from his sister.

I wonder if he periodically replied to some of her texts, teaching her that she needs to send x-hundred texts and she’ll get a reply. Any type of response is a no-no in The Gift of Fear, after telling them to stop contacting you.

I know, why didn’t he just block her? Did she have thousands of burner phones? Or did the police tell him to keep the texts to document? And it took 65,000 to apprehend her? Or he was just amused by it?

If it’s real, it sounds exactly like Lorna Morello on Orange Is The New Black – remember she always talked about her “boyfriend,” but it turned out it was a guy she met once and then stalked and that’s why she was in jail? And then she escaped and went and broke in his house and was in his bathtub with his wife’s wedding veil on? The lady in this story also broke into the guys house and got in his bathtub.
Maybe people don’t talk about it unless they’re on an anonymous website.
