I just did my hair straight with the Airwrap smoothing brush and then curled just the ends with the wand attachments. It looks really good, but I will say you can get a similar look with the Revlon. For that one style, the Revlon is a dupe. Faster too. But the Revlon would likely damage your hair more if you used it regularly on high heat. And my thing with it was, as a highlighted blonde, I never used it on high because I was worried it would be too much. On low it gave me a decent look, but it got kind of limp.
I love, love, love the Airwrap. The versatility, the finished looks, the non-aggressive amount of heat, I can use it for second-day restyling, the style is long-lasting, etc etc. But if someone is happy with the Revlon results, they should stick with it. It’s a fantastic product and now selling for $30!!!
He does more of the dog stuff, all the car stuff, garbage and recycling, cleaning the kitchen and cooking a steak dinner once a week. He can cook well, but I find it easy and kind of relaxing to just whip up a Hello Fresh after I’m done working. He also does the grocery shopping and most errands. Gets me tea at night.
I handle the saving and investing, the cleaning in between when our cleaner comes, and idk what else. Green smoothies.
We basically do our own laundry, but he does more. He’ll do the sheets, or throw my laundry in if it’s sitting in the basket and I haven’t gotten to it yet. Sometimes I’ll fold his.
He has a lot of sweaty workout gear and I have a lot of delicates, so I prefer to just do our own rather than throw it all in together.
When I was a kid, we used to do both… We’d go to Florida to visit my mom’s family and then have a separate Christmas with my dad’s family in NH. It was great!
Now I don’t have to choose… My husband doesn’t do holidays with his family (long insane story), so we just get together with my parents and brother.
Though not this year. My parents are going to stop by and drop off presents/pick up on the 24th, and we’ll open them on Zoom (kill me) on the 25th.
My ex-boyfriend used to love the kiehls avocado eye cream. I feel like their products are often too moisturizing for my combo skin and not enough anti-aging, but I think a lot of them are great for guys. The packaging too, doesn’t look too “woman / complicated routine.”
Oh man, that really sucks. Obviously on the bright side you should be able to have many more Christmases together, but fuck. I guess get into your coziest loungewear, have a bottle of something nice, a good movie, book, or show, and enjoy your takeout.
We ordered a special holiday meal from a steakhouse in Boston that has prime rib and crab bisque and twice baked potatoes.
We’re going to a drive thru testing place this afternoon. My husband is making me get a test because I have a cough. I feel fine… I had a headache and fatigue but I always do when getting my period. Don’t think I have it, but what else is there to do today?
The most recent place I went was an outdoor patio for a drink last Friday night. Seems unlikely.
Vaseline (and maybe aquaphor) is the only thing that really works on lips, too. A lot of balms are medicated and just make the problem worse in the long run. Other balms are good, like I really like Baby Lips, but only putting on some Vaseline morning and night really keeps them soft in winter. And I’ve had bad dry patches on the sides of my face where it’s not oily, and Vaseline fixes it quick.
