Ver…. I’m going to let you know next time I’m in Quincy. We should happen to run into one another. Just saying.
Also, H… my middle sis was 28 or so the first time she had sex. I’m not exactly sure when she started kissing. I’m a big advocate of doing what you’re comfortable with and when and not rushing things.
Hfan, I agree with others in that you should check in with yourself and see how you’re truly feeling about this guy. It does feel great to be liked, but to move into an exclusive relationship without even kissing seems to be moving a bit fast. I suggest proceeding at a pace that feels comfortable to you in checking in with yourself every couple of days. And also, when you’re out, flirt a little more so the kiss happens. Arm touching, leaning in, smiling… They’re all great indicators that you want to kiss. Amp that up and hopefully he’ll take the lead.
In other news, I think I might have a “boyfriend” on my hands. He wants to tell his main boss about us, who is someone I happen to work closely with. I’m still a little (ok, a lot) cautious, but he definitely likes me and I for sure like him. Anyway, that’s what’s new on my end.
I echo others in that too many or too flattering of compliments too soon makes me a bit uncomfortable. I’m glad the third date went well though hfan!!!! The breakfast date was a fantastic idea.
Ver, how was your second date?
I had dinner plans with girlfriends Friday night, then I went over to the guy’s apartment and didn’t leave until this morning. In fact, we only left once to get coffee and go to the grocery store. Great weekend!!!! He also mentioned a day trip our coworker Lisa and their crew are doing. He mentioned me going, and I said that I would need an invite. He said he was… And I was like wait, can we do that? This is work people. And he said it was fine…. So that made me feel pretty good, that he’s ok with coworkers knowing about us now.
Ooh. Yay Veritek!!!
I don’t know Loo. In the past, I’ve never had the conversation. It always just kind of happened and bam, we’re together. With this buy, it’s too soon for me to broach the subject. But we do spend a lot of time together and text daily. I’m positive he likes me a lot. And even without any kind of exclusive talk, I’m certain that he’s not dating or even looking to date anyone else. Of course, I guess I can’t be 100% sure… but it’s a pretty safe bet.
This is actually the first time in a long time I’m not constantly freaking out or wondering if he’s actually into me. He lets me know he is, and he’s definitely still wooing me. All good signs, I think.
That’s so cute Veritek!!! I’m sorry about your parents and hope they are doing better, or will be soon.
Soo…. another awesome date last night. We stayed at my place after. I gave him a toothbrush to use, so now he has one at my place. Is that too soon? I felt a little nervous about it.
Ver – the next date is tomorrow. We’ve done pretty good at seeing each other once to twice a week. Last week was the first that didn’t happen because of busy schedules. I’m not inviting him to the friend meet because 1. we all might cancel and 2. we have a date tomorrow.
The 29th is great, Ver, considering you live a couple hours apart!
Def do not change plans hfan. Maybe try to plan something easier during the week and do the cooking/baking thing a few weeks from now. That’s what I would do in your situation anyway.
Also, I can’t stress enough how important it is to keep your own social life… i don’t think you should not makes plans in the hopes of some guy asking you out. It just makes you miserable.
He did take you to one of the better restaurants and bars in q-town. Kudos to him!!!! FYI, if you’re a Bloody Mary fan, Kelly’s is the best (same restaurant group as the Abby). Their cheese soup is to die for as well. And finally, I love The Tower for pizza, specifically the veggie. Oh, it’s a thing in Quincy to eat pizza and order a Margarita. Weird, I know. But the two best pizza places also serve Mexican.
