I don’t wear liquid foundation either. I do use Keihl’s BB cream which seems sufficient for me. And like Wendy, I have an undereye concealer that I’ll use, but I pretty much haven’t while working from home.

And also yes, I totally get where you’re coming from on the baby front @LadyE. Especially now. I did feel bad for those who got pregnant pre-pandemic because they had no idea what was coming. But now, sure, get pregnant because I also don’t think you should put your life on hold forever!! However… you know what you’re getting into so you don’t need to complain to the world.

Happy holidays DW community. And thank you Wendy for this safe space.

I know the holidays aren’t what we’re used to, but I hope everyone is finding small wins.

Me, it’s the first Christmas I’m spending with my husband. I’m usually the one to leave, so I’m finding out his holiday norm. We’ll see how it goes.

So yeah, my sister who also lives here married a Jewish gentleman. She still gets to go home for Christmas and her husband and kids do as well. My other sister, BIL and nieces live in my hometown. So it’s been easy transition into adulthood to all still spend Christmas together. The husband’s family lives about 35 min from us. The husband and I are totally fine doing our own thing. It works for all of us.

We do our own. And I do towels and sheets, but he’ll hold the towels.

Other household chores, I do all surfaces. He does floors and toilets. I do most of the cooking and dishes too.

I’m more particular so that’s why I do a little more on the house front and meal planning, but he handles bills. I fee were pretty even.

@hfantods, I had my third wedding anniversary in September and this Christmas will be the very first I’m spending w/ the husband. Since we don’t and will not have children, we decided from the get-go that we’d spend Christmas separately. We do our only little celebration a few days before Christmas or a few days after, depending on where it fell and when I traveled home.

This year I declined to go home, obviously. I cried when I told my mom. I’ve cried a couple of other times. I’m starting to get teary eyed now thinking about it. People probably think I’m crazy, but I LOVE Christmas with my family and nieces and nephews. And he’s an only child.

Anyway, just because most married couples who celebrate Christmas spend Christmas day together, you don’t have to!! You have options (not including this year). If we had kids, we’d probably come to a different arrangement and do the every other holiday crap people have to do.

I’m sorry fyodor that you’re still feeling shitty and can’t eat and I’m also sorry that you have no idea where you could have picked up the virus. That is perplexing and totally sucks.

I definitely need a moisturizer (and sunscreen) at a minimum!

@Copa, I’ve been using Goop Unseen. I want to try, I think it’s Elta MD. So many people like that one.

Also, Kiehl’s user here. You asked about it @LadyE. What they do really well is moisturizers. I love their Ultra Facial Cream (not the SPF one, it sucks, I wear a full on sunscreen underneath). I also really like their hand cream. And their Creme de Corps for my overall body moisturizer. Serums, I go elsewhere. I need to find a Vitamin C serum I like. I do like the Obagi Retinol cream. I use the 0.5 and only a couple times a week. I have sensitive skin that can dry out really easily.

I’m sorry @fyodor. That sucks! I believe dr.’s are saying that actual numbers are 7x that of what’s reported because so many are asymptomatic and/or haven’t been tested. If you account for those numbers, I think 1 in every 15 people or something in Chicago have it.

So yes… people may be living their normal lives. That doesn’t mean they don’t have it. And they’re the ones spreading it. People suck.

@MG, I had my first PT apt. last night with the woman your PT recommended. I like her. She’s friendly and really listened. I’m already feeling a little better and we have a treatment plan.

But my body is so tired today.

    Thank you!!

Ok, I can legit not look into a mirror in a dark room because of that bloody mary shit growing up. I avert my gaze.

@Copa, that’s funny. My friend went through something similar recently with her husband. Pre-covid, he had to have like 8 groomsmen or something. They ended up have a small, 10 person ceremony (including them and their officiant) because of Covid.
