What? How do you know who or how it did or didn’t affect? And how is this affecting you?

Well just because something happens doesn’t mean it isn’t inappropriate. I classified your current crush as such because it is on your married boss. It doesn’t matter if he *might* not be married or *might* not be your boss in the future, he is now, and you have a crush on him now, so IMHO it is an inappropriate crush. Just like the crush I had on my sexy work colleague who frequented the same gym as me one summer was inappropriate, because I was married at the time. The difference is, I never actually hoped it would go anywhere further than my head, but you seem to hope your crush/fantasy will manifest into something real.

Let’s put it this way: if someone was mentally fantasizing about sleeping with my husband, yeah it’s inappropriate, but whatever it’s kind of flattering so I don’t really mind too much. However, if someone was actively planning a strategy to get with my husband and hoping he divorced me and laying the ground work for that possible future, I would be pissed. Then again, I don’t think my husband would ever lead someone on in a way that your boss may have (especially not a subordinate), so this is unlikely to happen. Although #anythingispossible, as we’re seeing with Fire star’s husband’s cray cray ex on another thread. I know it’s kind of a fine line between a fantasy that is planned to stay that way and a fantasy that is hoping to morph into something real, but I think a lot of people would agree with my delineation.
