I actually didn’t sleep well last night at all, but not because I’m so mean. Or, hell, maybe it was. Maybe it was karma getting me back in the form of my 3-year-old crying all night long because he was cold and having random growing pains and nightmares. And maybe it was karma getting me back in the form of a sudden and almost-violent wave of nausea that lasted too long and has left my throat super sore today. And maybe it was karma getting me back by freezing my pipes so that I have no hot water today and couldn’t shower this morning. But anything’s possible, so I’m going to dream big and hope the the nausea subsides for good, my son has had a great morning on a playdate with his baby sitter, and that we have hot water in time for me to shower before tonight’s episode of The Bachelor.
Wendy, are you having any dairy aversions? Because it sounds like you could use a big mug of hot chocolate with extra marshmallows right now. That’s what I’m doing right now, and it really helps.
@call-me-hobo I just made Ina Garten’s homemade hot chocolate for the first time recently and it was the bees knees! I used real cream and melted good quality dark chocolate and holy crap it was amazing.
No dairy aversions (thank God, because, ice cream), and hot chocolate with extra marshmallows sounds perfect!

A mature response would be “wow, so you really don’t think I have a chance with the guy? Well, that’s not what I wanted to hear.” Or, “Is there anything that I could do that would give me a shot with him?”
Immature = “you all should die”, “go choke on a dick”, “HELLO U PPL ARE AS DUMB AS FUCK”, and, best of all, “Excuse me bitch I don’t sound immature.”
I have to revise my earlier advice. After hearing the way you talk to people who were trying to help you, I can’t imagine that a grown man would be the slightest bit interested, even if he were single.
No one was nasty though! You just didn’t like the advice being given. You can’t make people give you the advice you want to hear by reacting poorly. But, you know like Essie said the mature response is always to tell people to choke on a dick or calling them a bitch. And I’m dumb as fuck apparently so what do I know.
Maybe when in your fantasy world he decides he doesn’t love his wife and leaves her and then the next day at work sees you and has to date you, while still recovering from the divorce, perfect time to date, things will be perfect for you. Good luck with that.
